But sometime it required to update Qualcomm drivers to work perfectly.

    1. Qualcomm Driver Update
    2. Qualcomm Msm Device Driver

Is anticipated to launch several smartphones on Feb. 26 at its MWC event. One of these devices is expected to be a new Android-based phone dubbed the Nokia 3, but very little was known apart from its name - until now. A new leak has now revealed the supposed specs of the Nokia 3, along with its release date and price. This leak comes courtesy publication and its veracity is still circumspect. Nokia 3: Specs And Features The device is expected to have either a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch 720p display. Per the leak, the Nokia 3 will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, which clocks at 1.4 GHz.

    Qualcomm Driver Update

The smartphone will come with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage. The storage space of the Nokia 3 could be expandable but no details are available. The Nokia 3 will also house an Adreno 308 GPU.

    Device

The leak also reveals that the upcoming will come with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. However, perhaps the most surprising and satisfying detail to be leaked is that the Nokia 3 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. Nokia's decision to include the latest OS may help in propeling the device's popularity after it is released. Price And Availability The leak also reveals the expected price at which the Nokia 3 will be sold. The Nokia 3 is anticipated to bear a price tag of 150 Euro (about $159) at launch. Taking into consideration the smartphone's basic specs and features, this price seems reasonable enough and suggests that the company is targeting budget conscious buyers. It is not known for certain when HMD Global will release the Nokia 3 and whether it will be made available in all countries or a select few.

The Nokia 3 will launch at the company's MWC event and may likely hit the shelves in March or April. Other Devices Nokia is also to launch two other devices during the MWC - the remastered version of the Nokia 3310 and the Nokia 5. The Nokia 3310 will not be a smartphone and it will be very similar to the older version. It is mainly expected to find favor with consumers due to its nostalgic value. The Nokia 5, on the other hand, is expected to boast a 5.2 inch display, house 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage just like the Nokia 3.

However, its expected price tag is around $199. Photo: Kārlis Dambrāns.

@itxjobe In a little bit different topic but staying on the flashing conversation. What about if you install the global version on an AT&T device. Will it make it unlocked. I was checking the files when i was downloading them and in the AT&T version there is one that says NPW8WP8ATTUSsimlock etc. I guess that the file that keeps the phone locked to AT&T. But if you go the Global version the file says NPW8simlockopenWP8 etc.

What about if you download both files and replaced the AT&T one with the Global and flash your phone. Does it make it unlocked. Or download the whole Global files and install them in the AT&T phone. I mean this is like flashing a different ROM and some of us are familiar with flashing ROMS. Similar method is the one that we use to flash the T-mobile HTC HD7 with the Custom ROMS made with the european version of the phone. Thanks again and i'm pretty sure that this is the first step into hacking this phone to install Custom RomsBump!

Can flashing unlock a device from the carrier? Just wanted to share my reset experience post portico update. I switched from Rogers to Fido and decided to try do a reset to try to get my network settings cleared up. Went into settings, about and selected reset. Device rebooted and got the gears screen.

Waited some more. Remembered some passing mention of reset issues. Searched here and panicked. After 40+ minutes figured I needed to go through this reflash process.

Tried to reboot and it just came back to the gears screen. Connected the device via usb to my computer and started downloading the flashing tools. I noticed my computer was searching for drivers to connect. Looked over at my 920 and it was rebooting. Thought that was odd and next thing I know it was at the welcome screen. So either connecting via usb helped or the reset takes on the order of an hour (and seems to handle impatient people rebooting after 40min). I never got the flashing software installed after downloading since I was running into the VC redistributable problem some have mentioned in this thread.

Just letting you guys know I successfully flashed the 920, I had the German rom which did not include APN settings, with those settings missing I could not send MMS's. I changed the rom to RM8211232.2109.1242.1001RETAILapacvietnam209prdsigned and now successfully sent my first mms without even having to set the APN settings. I did realize that 4G is missing, although I don't use it as yet. If I plan to use 4g I will flash the rom again to the Singtel APAC rom. Thanks for your instructions and also a tip to others It took me a week to do it.

I kept getting errors such as 'rom is corrupt' with several other roms, I researched and finally got it working. I Need some help guys.

Yesterday, I saw that I was getting text messages, but I didn't hear any tune and the phone didn't vibrate. I Check my volume, it was at 30/30. I Noticed, when I tried to but it down, it went straight back up to 30, like the volume up button was stuck.

That was weird. I Thought; Maybe it's a bug. I Listened to music with my 920 for the first time that day (with earbuds), and maybe it had something to do with that. I turned the phone off and on again Bricked.

Only the lightning bulb and the gear will appear. I Googled a lot and I saw this thread. I Tried to flash the device, but I couldn't start the flashing:(, it didn't find my device. I was trying a lot and suddenly, BOOM. I Was happy at first, but then I saw my volume going back up from 0 to 30. So the volume button is still 'stuck'.

Tried rebooting again Bricked. When I try to reboot a couple of times (volume down + power), I sometimes get in, but most of the time I don't. Should I still flash my device? What is this? The device is brand new.:/ Oh; I'm in belgium, but I bought the lumia in France (like 200km away).

I Bought it in a phonehouse. Will I be able to take it back to a Phonehouse in Belgium?

Unable to get this to work. Product Support tool cannot see the rm-821 stuff and I have downloaded and redownloaded and checked and double checked directory structure. It is in the C: Program Data Nokia Packages Products rm-821. I really don't know what to do as everything that would normally work in troubleshooting has failed me.Found the issue.

Make sure you are using an updated version of Nokia care suite. All the OP's links are dead and the one posted above mine is an old version that does not support the Lumia 920. You can, however, go into the Nokia Care Suite and there is a check for update button that will allow you to auto-update to the most current version. Tried for six hours today to do this - finally got the correct FW in place in the care suite but the handset hung on the gear and lightning symbol.

And refused to get any further. This is most frustrating thing I'm ever encounter.

I had to use my dads old PC on a terribly slow connection as I'm a Mac user. Going to try another PC at a friends house tomorrow. I emailed Stephen Elop in a fit of rage on Xmas Eve. His response was 'Hello there, I am sorry that you have encountered these problems. I will ask my team to assist. Regards, Stephen' Good that he got back to me but of course I won't hear anything for days yet.

I really want to avoid having to take the phone into a phone shop, although I took out a new contract to get the 920 only a month ago I know from other users that EE will refuse to put it right as it's over the 14 day period. I'll try to update the Care Suite tomorrow to make sure I have the latest version. When I tried today it said I had insufficient privileges to do this. After years of using Macs I've completely forgotten all my Windows know-how. Solution for people face Qualcomm MSM drivers is try installing nokia pc suite, or plug others Nokia with symbian that have usb setting 'connect to pc suite' because a driver will be automatically installed and change Qualcomm MSM to RM-821 Lumia 920 (but still asking for driver) This driver's issue makes me so frustating for a day! But, finally because of luck, i found the solution, please try my solution: - Connect Lumia 920 via usb - Then open wifi - Connect to internet - Open phone's setting - Open Phone Update - Check for updates.

At this time, windows 7 will automatically install driver for Lumia 920 (the installation is something about Winusb driver) - then after installation, in device manager rm-821 nokia lumia 920 will change to Nokia USB Connectivity - DONE For flashing with Nokia Care Suite, unplug Lumia from USB, then: NokiaCareSuite5.02012.45.4.5 Directions: 1. Launch Nokia Care Suite 2. Click the Product Support Tool for Store 5.0 3. Click File 4. Click Open Product 5. Choose RM-821 (Nokia Lumia 920) 6. On the bottom left click Programming 7.

Click Recovery 8. You should see the firmware you downloaded and copied earlier under the Properties field. Click Start 10. The software will check the package contents, it will fail to find the phone, and ask you to reboot and give you a button to click retry. Plug the phone to usb - Hold the Volume Down and the Power button till vibrate - Click Retry - You will see the software say 'Rebooting' - Wait the process. Done, your Lumia 920 is flashed to new firmware:) the only problem i face now is when i connect to nokia care suite, the fuse application always stopped.

I don't know why but I don't care because i have succesfully flashing my Lumia 920:) Hope this can help you, if succeed, please respond and write your exact step, because I found it only because of luck not in exact step. Excuse me but i tried it all night long and nothing. Everything works fine except on this step. Plug the phone into your PC 2. Hold the Volume Down and the Power button, click RETRY on the Product Support Tools Window 3.

After you feel a vibration in the phone immediately release the Volume Down and the Power button and hold the Volume up button. When i do this (step 1 to 3) my phone automatically return to the cog wheel screen, and nokia suite to the retry screen, i continue to hold the up button but nothing happen 4. Continue to hold the volume up button, you will see the software say 'Rebooting' 5. After about 15 seconds you will see a top NOKIA logo and the software will start flashing the phone. I didn't see step 4, nokia care always show me ths screen with retry i don't know if battery level could influence the process?

Because my battery level was low, i charge it all nigt and it still shows me the battery on my Lumia 920 (sometimes).
